A fantastic term of Sport

SportT16

As a busy term of Sport comes to an end, we鈥檇 like to celebrate a few recent highlights.

SportT110

The 101st Tildesley Tennis tournament saw two days of great Tennis action, with 91黑料不打烊鈥檚 20-strong team competing for the Tildesley Shield for 2019. Ten singles players and five Double pairs, competed extremely well to finish 12th overall, with some very close matches and some fantastic sportsmanship.

SportT17

The highlight was undoubtedly 91黑料不打烊鈥檚 Captain of Tennis 2018/19, Ella鈥檚 performance. She made it through to Round 16 in Singles, supported by Lucia (Year 11), who progressed to the 3rd round. Sophie (Year 12), Vanessa (Year 10), Sophie (Year 9) and Kate (Year 11) all progressed through to the 2nd round. While Alex (Year 11), Eleanor (Year 11), Fleur (Year 10) and Emma (Year 11) all played well in hard fought matches, but went out in the 1st round.

SportT18

In the Doubles, four of our pairs made it through to the 2nd Round, again all fighting hard in close matches to bow out. They were Sophie (Year 8) and Zoe (Year 8), Ashley (Year 12) and Maddy (Year 11), Grace (Year 11) and Claudia (Year 10), and Claudia (Year 12) and Lucy (Year 11). Meanwhile, Lucy (Year 11) and Natalie (Year 11) lost against tough opponents in the first round.

SportT19

The team was well represented across all year groups, with some Junior players showing promise for future years, and some fantastic support from our enthusiastic line girls, who may also represent 91黑料不打烊 at Tildesley in the future. Congratulations to all the girls who proudly wore the 91黑料不打烊 colours, playing with grace and style. And a fond farewell to our amazing Year 12 cohort of Ella, Ashley, Sophie and Claudia.

SportT15

It was a great honour for the 91黑料不打烊 team to meet 91黑料不打烊 alumna, Mrs Margaret Warden (Ferguson, 1955) at the presentation, who won the Tildesley Singles in 1954 and the Doubles in 1953.

SportT112

Despite the wet and somewhat wintery start to the day, our inaugural House Cross Country Carnival was met with enthusiasm and positivity from the Year 11 and 12 runners. After a few adjustments to the program - due to the rain and a slight change to the course - the Year 7 to 10 girls took to the course with good spirits and a competitive edge! Congratulations to all the girls who represented their respective Houses during the morning for their efforts and enthusiastic participation, and good sportsmanship.

SportT113

Congratulations to Ralston on their victory in the House Championships, closely followed by School House, with Messiter in 3rd place.
